| Me llamo Javier Solana Trías (Uruguay, 29-01-75) siempre atraído por el ritmo, los tambores y la música, tomé allí cursos de batería con Jorge Alcaráz (’88 y’89) para tocar “rock&roll”. Años más tarde (’93) me llega la educación de la música de calle de Montevideo, el “Candombe”: por un lado como orquesta de tambores polirrítmicos y politímbricos con raices en Africa, y por otro su fusión con diversas músicas (basicamente rock&roll y jazz) a traves de interpretaciones de artistas músicos uruguayos. Como lo es José Luis Pérez , maestro de la batería con el que disfruté el aprender a tocar y saber (‘98 al ‘00). Kurare es la música que llevo dentro, que me gusta hacer y que más me representa en tanto que músico y persona. Desde que llegué a Barcelona en el año 2002, hasta hoy, han tocado distintos músicos en Kurare integrando diferentes formaciones pero siempre desenvolviendo Latin-Jazz. Sobre base de trío (la batería + guitarra y bajo eléctrico) comenzó siendo un cuarteto con una cantante, luego fué un trompetista que la suplió y también tocó en trío Kurare. Su repertorio va del Sur al Norte del continente americano, pues toma composiciones de autores sudamericanos y los lleva al Jazz, e interpreta "standards" de Jazz en lenguas afro-indo-americanas. Composiciones de Eduardo Mateo (Uruguay 1940-1990) su mágica inspiración y creatividad, y de Ruben "el negro" Rada sus raíces, alegría y energía afro-uruguaya. De Antonio "Tom" Jobim (Brasil) el padre de la Bossanova, Djavan (Brasil) inmenso talento compositivo e interpretativo, y Milton Nascimento (Brasil) "brujo melódico" y voz divina de la música brasileña. My name's Javier Solana Trías (Uruguay, 29-01-75) always attracted by the rythms, the drums there and music, I took Drums courses with Jorge Alcaráz (' 88 and' 89) to play “Rock&Roll”. Years later (' 93) the education from the street music of Montevideo, the “Candombe” arrives to me: on the one hand like orchestra of polyrhithmics and polytonals drums with roots in Africa, and by another the fusion with diverse musics (basically rock&roll and jazz) through interpretations of Uruguayan musical artists. Kurare is music that I take inside, that I like to do and that she represents to me as musician as a person. On trio base (Drums + guitar and bass electrics) it began being a quartet with a singer, soon be a trumpeter that replaced it and also it touched in trio Kurare. Its repertoire goes of the South to the North of the American continent, because it takes compositions from South American authors and it takes them to the Jazz, and interprets “standards” of Jazz in languages afro-indian-Americans. Compositions of Eduardo Mateo (Uruguay 1940-1990) his magical inspiration and creativity, and of Ruben Rada his roots, joy and afro-Uruguayan energy.
