Castlefest 2009 will take place from Friday the 31st of July untill sunday the 2nd of August 2009! _______________________________________________________ Castlefest, a Dutch medieval festival, is held in honour of the sun, which was revered by the Celts as the god Lugh. Lugh gave warmth and good harvest. The ancient festival of Lugnasadh was dedicated to this god. In recognition of this and to celebrate the harvast time we organize Castlefest in the beginning of August, every year. You are more than welcome to join us! Castlefest 2009 will take place from Friday the 31st of July untill sunday the 2nd of August 2009! To watch Wickerman burning in honour of Lugh on Saturday evening, Kelvin Kalvus “the Alchemist", Las Fuegas fireshows, Johannes de Nar, Abe de Verteller, Queen of Bats, Tan Elleil and the Garbage Goblins To Buy A huge amount of Medieval, Fantasy, Pagan and Gothic Shops! Check out the website for more information about all the shops. To Listen Omnia, Rapalje, Scrum, Rabenschrey, Orfeo, WirrWahr, de Flierefluiter, Lebocha and Valravn. To Do "Kunst op Straat", Pure Fantasy writers market, Subcultures Gamingzone, Balfolk dance workshops, Castlefest "Kinderrijk" for children, delicious biological food on huge wooden BBQ and ofcourse there will be a lot of dancing, rituals and workshops to join! |
