Once Bishop Patterson gave me a high school graduation picture and wrote on the back "Bishop Patterson," although neither had been ordained yet. In advance of the Holy Convocation in November, 2007, Bishop Blake want to invite you into a season of spiritual preparation. As in the days of old when the saints declared a season of prayer and fasting to seek the face of God and a great outpouring of His Spirit, we will extend the period of sackcloth and ashes. Let it be known throughout the Church that beginning October 15, 2007, the Church of God in Christ, everywhere, will set aside daily prayer and fasting from Midnight to 3 p.m. to petition the Lord for a mighty returning of an Azusa Street experience of 100 years ago. Our prayer is that God will make us One, again! One in the Spirit! One in Purpose! One in Fellowship! |
