..originally started By John Swaba(Singer) and Jeff Tedtaotao in the summer of 06, Thrown Overboard was a 5 piece band that practiced in sweaty rooms, and played shows with "bigger" bands and got absolutley none of the profits for their hardwork. An underdog at heart, Thrown Overbaord still managed to keep their chins up. Even when Singer/screamer John decided to quit due to difficulties in the band. Optimistically,guitarist Brent, Bassist Josh, And Guitarist Storm, all tried to replace him with a different friend of theirs, but in the end, they decided that it was best to keep it within the band and have all 3 guitarists sing or scream.This Moved things quicker and smoother. though they still felt like something (or someone) was missing. Enter NIGEL ROMAN.
"hey, do you think Nigel would want to scream for us?" asked josh at practice one day while Brent was telling a story he and nigel had.Quickly Brent dialed the number for Nigel's house, when he finally got ahold of him (nigel was a very busy cat) He popped the question. coincidentally, Nigel was going to ask Brent if he could try out. top. 2 weeks later Thrown Overboard became in contact with the fine gentlemen at The Gun Room Records and made their first rough single of "Girls go To Jupiter" and that song quickly spread throughout the Myspace airwaves.
A few months later TOB's (as they began to answer to) old singer John decided that he had made a terrible mistake and that his heart was really back with his friends in TOB. So for a while they did shows with both a screamer and a singer/keyboardist. But after a while, egos got involved and structurally speaking the band became a wreck so Thrown overboard and there good friend Nigel parted ways.
Now Thrown Overboard is back to a five piece and are going to try and record by Thanksgiving.
