‘Asia’s gemstone of Heaven’ Admired as the stone of love, inner peace, harmony and balance. When Blujeanz first stepped into Grenvile Youth Club, they didnt know what to expect nor anticipated after only a year having signed Jade to their label that they were ready to launch her career as a solo artist. Just after meeting Jade whose fashionably late timing could’nt have been more perfect, General Saints first thought was ’I hope she can sing cause she looks like a star’ and just like an x-factor audition, Jade sung Brandys rendition of ’Broken hearted’ acapella style and they were hooked. Unlike most artists, jades story of success is not a usual one. Shes always remained academic with a BA (HONS) in Fashion behind her and even now whilst writing and recording in the studio she is training to become an FE (Further Education) teacher undertaking the PGCE course at UEL. Jade remains distinctive and unique in her voice, look and sound. She has her own style and is still developing to perfect this god given talent she has been blessed with. Jade oozes confidence when she walks in the room but states ’It hasnt always been that way, i had to overcome certain fears in my life and time has taught me to just go for what I what without hesitation’. The raw, natural talent is evident in Jade but it has taken alot of hard work and determination to complete an incredible album. With her professional approach, she is an artist in her own right, she knows what she whats and aims for only the best penning the majority of her album and voicing her own opinions. Born to Vietnamese parents in South Glamorgan, Wales. Jade always loved the limelight but made sure she also had something to fall back on in case her dream of becoming a star like her idols Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey were just a dream and so kept it as a hobby singing at talent shows and open mics. Strangely enough, who would have thought Jade attended the same high school as Blujeanz finest male artist Zabdiel and years later they meet in the studio with Zabdiel producing one of Jades tracks. It quickly became a strong team of produces and artists all collaborating bringing ideas to the table and ’Fantasy’ the fascinating single soon to be released was born. Air play on the underground radio stations have already built buzz with requests for dates of album releases and gigs and an interview with CLSMOOVE on BBC THREE COUNTIES proved Jade was destined to become one of the UKs hottest artist to date. |
