| To some burlesque is a spectacular strip tease with dancers adorned in thousands of glittering jewels, to others it’s a political statement on what being a woman means today. Having been featured in over 100 international newspapers and major online blogs such as TMZ, The Sydney Daily Telegraph, and London’s Sunday Mail; With costumes that rival those of Dita Von Teese; a natural onstage charm that won her “Most Beautiful” at Boston’s 2008 Burlesque Festival; and a blossoming empire underneath her that includes a cross continental burlesque school, a lingerie boutique, her own couture line, and a soon to be released instructional DVD, Lola’s star continues to burn brighter—and it’s not hard to see why.
