| ENGLISH..................................................... ...............................................Antonio Porto was born in Campo Grande in the state Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. He started his career as composer, guitar– and bass player, percussionist and singer in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, where he worked with well known Brazilian artists such as Renato Teixeira, Pena Branca e Xavantinho or the „Familia Espindola“. His manifold talent he demonstrated in over 50 CD productions. At the end of the 1980ies he decided to move to Europe, in order to gain further professional experience and to broaden his spectrum in the field of music. In Europa, he played with Alegre Correa, Eli Meiri, Timna Brauer, Group Mato Grosso, Roots Godwanna, Hubert von Goisern, Mohamed Mounir, Pedro Tagliani, Eduardo Trentin, Alfredo Moura, Banda Amazonas, Robert Friedl, Schlomit, Izabel Padovani, Totonho Villeroy, Raul de Souza, Celia Mara, Ita Moreno and many others. Already he played in over 40 countries (Europa, Nord and South America, Africa and Asia Minor), well into festivals like Vienna Jazz Festival, Donauinsel Fest, Hildeshime, Red Sea Jazz Festival, Bratislawa Jazz Festival, Münchener Fest Woche, Kassel Dokumenta, etc.. and in jazz clubs like Hot Brass (Paris), Josef Club (Berlin) Porg and Bass (Vienna), and others. In South America, he played and recorded with Willy Sucher(Argentina), Juanchi Cabrera (Argentina) Hugo Ferrera (Paraguai) Rubén Goldin (Argentina). Seine musikalische Laufbahn als Komponist, Gitarrist, Bassist, Percussionist und Sänger begann er in São Paulo und Rio de Janeiro, wo er mit namhaften Künstlern Brasiliens wie Renato Teixeira, Pena Branca e Xavantinho oder der „Familia Espindola“ arbeitete und sein vielfältiges Talent in über 50 CD Produktionen zum Einsatz brachte. Sua carreira musical se deu início em sua cidade natal Campo Grande-MS e logo depois também em São Paulo (capital e interior do estado), onde como compositor, guitarrista, baixista, percursionista e cantor trabalhou com inúmeros artistas brasileiros, entre eles o consagrado cantor e compositor Renato Teixeira, Pena Branca e Xavantinho e a grande maioria dos talentosos componentes da Família Espíndola (Tetê, Alzira, Geraldo, Celito, Jerry e Gilson). Sua versatilidade musical já o levou também a participar de mais de 50 produções de CDs em estúdios de gravações. Na Europa tocou com Alegre Correa, Eli Meiri, Timna Brauer, Group Mato Grosso, Roots Godwanna, Hubert von Goisern, Mohamed Mounir, Pedro Tagliani, Eduardo Trentin, Alfredo Moura, Banda Amazonas, Robert Friedl, Schlomit, Izabel Padovani, Totonho Villeroy, Raul de Souza, Célia Mara, Ita Moreno e muitos outros.
