Music:Member Since: 3/27/2007Band Website: powerstock.org Sounds Like: La semantica del logo, l’importante significato del marchio e la scelta di tenere il Powerstock Festival nella suggestiva cornice di un parco eolico fanno di questo progetto una risposta al cambiamento climatico e all’esigenza di comunicare quest’ultimo ai giovani in chiave moderna e sexy. L’evento musicale è solo la prima tappa di questo processo di comunicazione che il progetto Powerstock intende innescare. La parola “powerstock“ proviene dalla difficoltà che incontrano le attuali tecnologie nello stoccare quantità sufficienti di energia prodotta da fonti rinnovabili. Stesso discorso vale per l’acqua, la risorsa naturale primaria del nostro pianeta che è letteralmente il vero “stock” che ci da la vita. In questo senso il progetto intende supportare e diffondere la visione dell’UNESCO rispetto a questo grande tema: il simbolo di interdipendenza e di pace che rappresenta l’acqua oggi. Il riferimento a Woodstock non è casuale visto che se in quella occasione si professava rivoluzione, pace e libertà, Powerstock, con la stessa forza di un grande raduno musicale, propone piuttosto un’evoluzione fatta di responsabilità e consapevolezza; i valori a nostro modo di vedere, del terzo millennio. L’emergenza ambientale, oggi, impone l’utilizzo di nuovi canali di comunicazione per rendere i giovani maggiormente consapevoli del problema grazie ad attività volte a sensibilizzare il pubblico e coinvolgerlo a 360° nell’esperienza Powerstock. La musica ed il life-style diventano quindi gli strumenti attraverso i quali comunicare ai giovani questi grandi temi. Powerstock si pone l’obiettivo di convincere, in modo non invasivo ma naturale, che il potere di cambiare le cose risiede nel consumatore e nelle sue singole azioni quotidiane. Powerstock rappresenta una filosofia, uno stile di vita, un grande obiettivo di cambiamento. --------------------------------- The semantics of the logo, the meaning of the brand and the choice to hold Powerstock Festival in the suggestive location of a wind-farm give this project the right edge to address climate change in a way that genuinely appeals to youth culture. The music festival is the first stage of a comprehensive communication initiative called the Powerstock Project. The word “powerstock” emphasizes the challenge that contemporary society and technology face to generate manage and consume precious natural resources such as energy and water in a sustainable way. At Powerstock, the drive for revolution of the "woodstock generation" is updated to a spirit of co-evolution for a new generation, and the message of peace is given new symbolic meaning by the promotion of UNESCO’s vision of water as an Agent of Peace for the XXI Century. The environmental emergency, today, demands the use of new communication channels to stimulate youth involvement in the major challenges of our time. Powerstock is a 360° experience charged with a lifestyle philosophy whose goal is to persuade, in a non-intrusive and natural way, that the power to change things belongs to the consumer and depends on his/her daily actions.
