My name is Adam Fielding and I'm a music addict. I originally hail from sunny Suffolk where I was born and raised.

I originally started writing music in 1995, and since then I have been attempting to refine my songwriting technique and production skills. I originally started out trying to write music for some (very) poor games I had been writing on my old Atari STe using Protracker, and soon figured that I was enjoying writing music a lot more than trying to get my rubbish games to actually do anything. Since then, I have delved into a fair share of different genres including (but not limited to) dance, industrial, ambient, downtempo and neo-classical styles. While I used to listen to a lot of post-hardcore and metal, I now find myself listening to and being influenced by artists such as Iris, Hybrid, Boards of Canada, Oceansize and BT... which makes it a pain whenever anyone asks the great question "what sort of music are you into?".

I am currently studying Popular Music Production at the University of Huddersfield, and have been since mid-2005. I am expected to finish my undergraduate studies in 2009, and from there... who knows. I've worked with a few musicians before on various collaborations, and am always keen to work with musicians I respect. I have also been involved in freelance composition and sound design projects for various companies, and have received positive feedback in most cases.

I am not a live performer - while it is something I often thought about and is something I would love to have a try at again one day, I am primarily a songwriter/producer. I dabble on guitar and keys from time to time, and have taken a liking to singing since I first tried it out many years back (to be honest, I was just glad I didn't cause anyone any serious mental anguish) and I often incorporate these elements when producing music. I am an advocate of Reason, though I also use Cubase for recording live parts and orchestral bits.

I still like to dabble with programming and web coding from time to time, but music is my absolute number one passion. The day I stop enjoying it is the day I'll stop writing it. Until then...
