Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Playing with fire Chris voit le jour le 30 septembre 1970 à Berck-sur-Mer, ville balnéaire pleine de charme située sur la Côte d'Opale, puis part pour la Suisse à l'âge de 3 ans. Dès 1978, Chris intègre le Conservatoire de Musique de Zürich où il commence par étudier le hautbois.En 1982, il a la chance de rencontrer le chanteur et guitariste du groupe The Steps (groupe de rock-blues Suisse) ce qui le décide à étudier la guitare aux côtés de Peter Kane. Moins d'un an plus tard, il crée le groupe de rock'n'roll The Billys avec lequel il essaime les scènes suisse et allemande durant plus de quatre années, avant d'entrer en studio pour enregistrer „Dis-le moi“ qui sera diffusé sur les radios zürichoises. Durant les années 90, Chris a joué avec plusieurs formations françaises avec lesquelles il a donné plusieurs concerts en France et en Grèce. En 2003, il crée et développe le concept des „Soirées Musicales de Berdorf“ (Grand-Duché de Luxembourg), dont il assure la direction artistique. Lors d'un concert donné en hommage à Mozart - dont Chris estime qu'il était le premier rock'n'roller - Chris fait son retour improvisé sur scène entouré de musiciens classiques qui délaissèrent leurs instruments pour une batterie et un piano boogie. Devant le succès remporté, il décide de se remettre à la composition (et, dans la foulée, devient membre de la Sacem). Chris a fait son retour officiel sur scène le 16 août 2007 lors d'un grand concert/soirée dansante rock'n'roll & rockabilly donné en hommage à Elvis Presley, aux côtés du groupe de rock'n'roll français Les Forbans et du groupe de rockabilly allemand The Hackensacks. Pour cette occasion, il a fondé le groupe The Unlikely Devils qui, comme son nom l'indique est un groupe tout à fait improbable car, d'une part, il réunit des musiciens du Classique (le batteur est le hautbois et le cor anglais solo de l'Orchestre national de Montpellier - le saxophoniste est bassoniste solo du même orchestre) et, d'autre part, un guitariste et un bassiste de l'Est de la France... qui ne se rencontreront que pour de brèves répétitions deux jours avant ce fameux concert!!! Chris is born on September 30, 1970 in Berck-sur-Mer, balneal city full of charm located on the "Côte d'Opale", then left for Switzerland at the age of 3. There, in 1978, Chris entered the Zurich's Music Academy where he started study the oboe. In 1982, he had the chance to meet the singer and guitarist of "The Steps" (rock'n'roll-blues Swiss band) what decided him to study the guitar at the sides of Peter Kane. Less than one year later, he created the rock'n roll band "The Billys" with whom he run through Switzerland and Deutschland stages during more than four years, before entering in studio to record „Dis le moi“ which will be broadcasted on the Zurich's local radios. During the Nineties, Chris played with several French formations and played several concerts in France and Greece. In 2003, he created and expanded the concept of the „Soirées & Rencontres Musicales de Berdorf" (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg), of which he is the artistic director. During a concert given in homage to Mozart - whose Chris estimates that he was the first rock'n roller - Chris made his improvised come-back on stage with classical musicians who exhanged their instruments for a battery and a piano boogy. In front of the success they had, Chris decided to go back to the composition (and, in the same time, became a member of the SACEM). Chris made his official come-back on scene on August 16, 2007 for a great concert/dance rock' roll & rockabilly given in homage to Elvis Presley, at the sides of the French rock'n'roll band "Les Forbans" and the german rockabilly band "The Hackensacks". For this occasion, it founded "The Unlikely Devils" band which, as its name means, is a completely improbable band because, on the one hand, it brings together musicians of Classical (the drumer is the oboe and the cor anglais solo of the National orchestra of Montpellier - the saxophonist is bassoonist solo of the same orchestra) and, on the other hand, a guitarist and a bass player of the East of France… who met only for a short repetition two days before this famous concert!!!
