East Lothian has never been the centre of the music world but one young band are out on a mission to change all that, exploding out from Port Seton and packing more punch than any band with an average age of 18 should. It's infectious, it's great fun and it's coming your way. The sound is pop-punk and so is the attitude, they know what there doing isn't smart and isn't new but when they've a packed out venue bouncing around like an asylum and each member of the crowd smiling from ear to ear and shouting out every word, it's a safe bet that they couldn't care less. Even though it's early days they're already getting plenty done for themselves, the enthusiasm they handle each gig with has seen them tackle some of the biggest battle of the bands events in Scotland, earning them a slot playing to a packed out Carling Academy in Glasgow within one year of forming. .. The band prides themselves on showmanship and crowd involvement, and for such a fresh faced band they have a right to do so, after all, being an energetic live band goes with the genre. Introduced new band member in the form of guitarist Nicholas Cameron at the start of 2008 has only helped this with now front man and figurehead for the band Luke Hextal whipping every crowd into a sing along frenzy, the singers refreshing openness about the band is refreshing:"We don't try and force maturity and depression into our music, y'know? We're not even old enough to be paying taxes… a lot of the time the biggest problems we come across are just girl troubles and problems with families. We don't think of ourselves as a just another teen band cause our music is really good; we just live with the fact that we're still teenagers. Playing music for teenagers. With teenage problems to write about. We hope our audience can too!" BANNERS! |
