| THE FIRSTBORNBiography1995 – Band formed; recorded the very first song in December for a participation in the “Southern Assault vol. 1” sampler CD (Guardians of Metal 1996 / as “Firstborn Evil”).1996 – A 4 song demo-tape called “Awakening of Evil” was recorded (Sword Prod. 1997 / as “Firstborn Evil”).1997 – Another song recorded for the “Sometimes... Death is Better” sampler CD (Shiver Rec. 1997 / as “Firstborn Evil”).1998 – Debut album “Rebirth of Evil” recorded, originally intended as a re-release of the 1996 demo-tape. Eventually 8 songs were recorded and the album took form (Guardians of Metal 1998 / as “Firstborn Evil”).2000 – Name shortened to “The Firstborn”, sophomore release “... From the Past Yet to Come” released (Guardians of Metal 2000).2002 – Song recorded for a Tarantula tribute “20 Anos de Tarantula” sampler CD (Recital 2002).2005 – After 4 years in the writing, the concept-album “The Unclenching of Fists” is finally recorded. Based on the Tibetan “Book of the Dead”, it represents a dramatic shift in both style and content for the band (ProCon Media 2005).2008 – Further exploring the Buddhist philosophy as a foundation for both lyrics and sound, the band travels to Foel Studio in Wales to record “The Noble Search”.
