| Nato a Sassari nel 1979, Luca (Vito) Lanza inizia a suonare in clarinetto nelle bande cittadine all’età di otto anni. Successivamente passa al sax contralto all’età di undici anni, ovvero quando la sorella decise di metterlo da parte e di non suonarlo più. Si iscrive al Conservatorio di Musica di Sassari nel 1994, alternando gli studi di Marcel Mule e di J.M. Londeix a quelli della partita doppia e del bilancio d’esercizio. Si diploma in Sassofono con il massimo dei voti nel 2001. L’incontro con alcuni musicisti locali fa nascere la passione per l’improvvisazione; si iscrive al corso di Jazz presso il Conservatorio di Sassari diplomandosi nel 2006. Partecipa al corso di perfezionamento di Iwan Roth (Noto- 1999), The Berklee Summer School (Perugia-2003), Nuoro Jazz (Nuoro-2003/2005). Vince il concorso di esecuzione musicale “Golfo degli Angeli” (Cagliari-2001), finalista nella 5° Edizione del Concorso “Luigi Nono” (Venaria Reale-2001). Masterclass con Bobby McFerrin (2003), Elvin Jones (2003), Stefano Bollani (2003), John Abercrombie (2005). Ha suonato con la Giovanile Orchestra di Fiati, diretta da Lorenzo Della Fonte, l’ Orchestra Jazz della Sardegna diretta da Giovanni Agostino Frassetto, Colin Towns, Maria Pia De Vito, Giorgio Gaslini, Carla Bley, Steve Swallow, Andy Sheppard, Andrea Tofanelli, Karl Potter, Perico Sambeat, Marco Tiso, Bruno Tommaso, Mario Raja, Achille Succi, Roberto Evangelisti, Hardy Mertens, Urban Sax, Bertas, Orchestra Bartali, Nasodoble......Figli di Iubal. ........................................................excu se me for my English........... :-)Born to Sassari in 1979, Luca (Vito) Lanza begins playing clarinet in the city bands to the eight year-old age. Subsequently he passes to alto sax to the eleven year-old age, or when his sister decided to put aside it and not to play it more. You enrolls in the Conservatory of Music of Sassari in 1994, alternating the studies of Marcel Mule and J.M. Londeix to the contability and budget of exercise. He graduates in Saxophone with the maximum in 2001. The meeting with some local musicians gives birth to born the passion for the improvisation; it enrolls him in the course of Jazz near the Conservatory of Sassari graduating in 2006. He participates in the course of improvement of Iwan Roth (Known - 1999), The Berklee Summer School (Perugia-2003), Nuoro Jazz (Nuoro-2003/2005).
