| Hi all - this is Joe La Banco, I'm a Chicago-based guitarist and one of the founders of Fretfire. The band hasn't been active since 2006, some members have moved and/or gone on to new projects. We all parted on good terms and some of us may play together at some time in the future, but I've kept our website and this MySpace page open primarily for one reason: I'm working on TONS of new material and will be posting it here as soon as I've recorded and tweaked it all properly. This will take me a little time, but bear with me, I think and hope you'll all find it worth the wait! My style and influences will remain evident, but at the same time I really feel I'm on to some different things these days and I aim to express that as fully as I can. It's very likely that I'll try to form a new incarnation of Fretfire at that point as well, to go out and perform - any players that think they may be interested, let me know!
