El nombre de MESCALITO es tomado de la obra y serie "Las Enseñanzas de Don Juan" de Carlos Castaneda, donde se hace alusión a las plantas de poder que utilizaban nuestras culturas prehispánicas para una evolución espiritual.MESCALITO LATÍN GROOVE , Fusiona y domina diferentes géneros y células músicales tomando como principal influencia los rítmos del Caribe, que van desde El Reggae, Hard Core, Ska, hasta llegar a la Timba Cubana, Batucada Brasileña y el Merengue.Los Temas de MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE retratan lo que sucede a nuestro alrededor, de las experiencias y contrastes que se observan al vivir en una Ciudad tan grande como es México. PARA MEDIADOS DEL AÑO 2000 MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE contaba con 13 músicos, siendo así una banda formada por Ex Integrantes de los grupos: REVUELTA PROPIA, TARZAN CONGO, RADIO MACHETE( Ahora Salón Victoria) y PANTEÓN ROCOCÓ.En la Primera mitad del año 2001 MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE graba un DEMO con 6 temas Producido por Salvador Cobela. En el 2003 MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE Graba su Primer CD Independiente con 8 temas Producido por ALDO ACUÑA (Bajista de MALDITA VECINDAD). En el 2005 MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE graba una rola llamada "COSA BUENA " para un acoplado de bandas que contiene 4 CD titulado 20-10 EZLN, El Fuego y la Palabra. En este acoplado MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE aparece en la escena Mundial con Artistas Internacionales como: MANÚ CHAO, SARGENTO GARCIA, FERMÍN MUGURUZA, OZOMATLI, 99 POSSE , TODOS TUS MUERTOS, JOAQUIN SABINA, MANO NEGRA, CAFÉ TACVBA, entre otros. MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE se ha presentado en infinidad de FESTIVALES Y CONCIERTOS MASIVOS en casi toda la República Mexicana compartiendo el escenario con Agrupaciones importantes en México y otros de talla INTERNACIONAL, Tales como: Café Tacvba, Julieta Venegas, Maldita Vecindad y los Hijos del Quinto Patio, Panteón Rococó, Los de Abajo, Celso Piña, Amparanoia (España), Los Rabanes, Lumumba (Argentina), Color Humano (España), Antidoping, Rastrillos, Santa Sabina, Tijuana No, Celso Piña, Sekta Core, Salón Victoria, Estrambóticos, Control Machete, Resorte, Magisterio, Bocafloja, Cabezas de Cera , Ritmo Peligroso, Botellita de Jeréz, Tex Tex, Son de Merengue, Kolé, Son de maíz, Son como Son, Son de Aquí, Salario Mínimo, Músicos de José, San Pascualito Rey, La Comuna, The Matt Mathers, Pinky Punky, Paco Barrios "El Mastuerzo", Rafael Catana, Patita de Perro, Que Payasos !, entre otros más.MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE acaba de regresar de una gira exitosa por Argentina y Chile, donde compartio el escenario con bandas como Gondwana, Karamelo Santo, Tu Kalavera, Von voyageee, La portuaria, Oveja Negra, Hormigas Negras, La planta, Talvegtal, Primates, Las Ladies, La Merlilla, etc. Ademas de comenzar a grabar su nuevo disco realizando 4 temas en Argentina con la produccion de Fader Records y Karamelo Santo. Para este año estara lista la nueva produccion.Since 9 years ago, MESCALITO LATIN GROOVE is considered one of the best and most unique World Beat gruops on the Mexican music scene. MLG assimilates the multiculturalism innate in Mexican society, and translates it into a universdal language of diverse rhythms.Mescalito Latin Groove work with and mix different styles and genres. Their influences are Caribbean rhythms, which range from Cuban Timba, Merengue, and Brasilian Batucada to Reggae, Ska and Hip-Hop.MLG's songs paint a portrait of everyday life around them, of the experiences and contrasts they observe while living in a city as large as Mexico's capital.They have a 2 Independent productions and 1 CD compilation, where Mescalito LG appear alongside various musicians from the World Music scene such as: Manu Chao, Joaquin Sabina, Ozomatli, Fermin Muguruza, Panteon Rococo, Cafe Tacuba, Antidoping, Aztlan Underground, Hechos contra el Decoro, 99 Posse, Los de Abajo, among others.Mescalito have just returned from a successful tour of Argentina and Chile where shared the stage with bands of great international standing such as: Gondwana, Karamelo Santo, Tu Kalavera, Von voyageee, La portuaria, Oveja Negra, Hormigas Negras, La planta, Talvegtal, Primates, Las Ladies, La Merlilla, etc.Now they are working in their CD, which includes 4 songs recorded in Argentina produced by Fader Records and Karamelo Santo. For this year the new CD will be ready. |
