Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting Reality Check is the touring unit of Mikhal Caldwell. This unit came into existence March of 2007 out of the need to perform the music from Mikhal's "Para Vision" CD. Bassist Eddie Kohen ,who also performed on the Para Vision CD was called on because of his ability to play the " impossible" lines , his knowledge and command over an amazing range of styles and most importantly his soulful funky style. In early March Eric Wilhelm was brought in and proved to be such an awesome and creative drummer that it was an easy decsion to call the trio complete. After 2 weeks of rehersals, the new unit had begun to work on A new CD of Mikhal's music.As of August the trio expanded to a quartet with the addition of the Firey Keyboardist Omar Taji . Omar is completely refreshing and brings his creative energy and is as of Sept. ,70% into the performance of all of the new music from the upcoming Ethic's vs Logic CD.
