And when I thought about it, I realized I've been working in metal since I was sixteen. I made lost wax silver jewelry. And I wanted to weld when I was twenty but technology had to catch up with the artist. The helmet of the day (before now)was clumsy and ridiculous to use. An artist back then would have had a difficult time doing what we do now with the state of the art auto darkening helmets available. Which is why there are so many astounding metal artists out there now. We went through a lot of difficultly working with clumsy helmets. So welcome to my website and to answer the question of the "Rhapsody" in Iron...well, it's not just about a love for music, it's also a love for steel (and all metals). Working metal into art puts me in a "Rapturous" way...Very SPIRITUAL~! AND it just seemed right.
