| I'm a painter (of pictures) and I joined myspace so I could write to a friend. Now that I'm here, my friend told me to spice it up a bit, and finally figured out how to put my picture up. Thanks to Anna Fisher, Onaje Murray, Patty Balko, and Larry Keane, I finally got the pic up. I'm the one with the dark hair and Anna is the blonde. Anna's a great musician and specializes in Reggae and jazz. Onaje is a great musician and plays jazz, reggae and more. I know I'm supposed to tell about myself, but had to give credit to my friends who got me here. Not too good with a computer, but am learning more. Went to LA for an adventure, and had one. While in LA, I met Onaje Murray at a gig in Long Beach. Went to see my friend Thomas Tedesco play, and Onaje was in his trio that night. Was totally impressed with Onaje's brilliance and went to as many gigs as I could. I'm into the music scene here on Maui, and was hoping to meet good artists in LA. Lucky me. I did. And when I went to Onaje's monthly gig at Hal's Bar and Grill in Venice Beach, California, I met Anna Fisher, another wonderful musician. Back to Maui. I came home after three and a half months in LA. Found really good people I'll have as lifelong friends. Went to LA to act, as I had a manager and she wanted me to come to LA and break into the biz. Found I'd rather go see my musician friends play. "Girls just want to have fun" is my motto. And good clean fun. I had to take care of my honey of thirty years after he got terminally ill and passed away September 11, 2006. His name was Ramon Dougherty and was my teacher and mentor for all those years. My main subject for my art is the face. And the face I've painted more than anyone is Jim Morrison. (The Doors) Got inspired by him in 1991. I tend to paint dead rock stars and musicians. I'm painting small acrylic paintings to sell now. I've never thought of selling my work until now. I have a website at: mahaunlimited.com Ramon handed me the baton of the disciplic succession of the San Francisco Bay Area Figurative Painters and I feel honored to be chosen by him as he had many many students in his career as an art teacher. He was one of the most talented painters I have had the honor of knowing, or knowing of. | |

I'd like to meet:I want to meet only honest people with integrity who are creative. Musicians are my main interest. Also artists of all kinds. Just thrown into the world as a single person after a thirty year run as one half of a couple. So, if you're an honest person who doesn't want to scam, it's ok to contact me. Since I live on Maui, many folks come here to visit and would like to meet the good ones who come here. Only real people, please. I like people who are not into drama.
