| Hello,It's so nice to be on MySpace.My Name is Hugh.I was brought up in a Northern mill town called Rochdale(some of you in Northern England may have heard of it !).However, I was actually born in a place called Suffolk in east anglia of England...and spent most of my formative years under an apple tree.(Suffolk is famous for it's apple orchards).Some 5 or 6 years ago,after my move to S/W Scotland,I thought it may be a good idea (having found an old guitar) to learn to play it!Whatever else happened it would surley be good exercise for my fingers.Obviously being a complete novice to playing a musical instrument for the 1st time in my life presented somewhat of a challenge.However ,as time went on I realised I had a great urge to write my own music and lyrics rather than interpret covers of others,the guitar playing became 2nd to writing my own compositions.With the help of my good friends, Dave,Glen and Gary(all very accomplished musicians and singers) I learnt enough to eventually start producing my own work which gave me great pleasure and still does.My inspiration came mainly from my beautiful and peaceful surroundings.The Galloway countryside,sea and mountains.This last few years have been a great learning curve for me.I feel I have still so much to learn and enjoy in music.Now I have a new opportunity to hear superb music from around the world which fills me with great joy,and allows others to hear and hopefully comment on my own meagre offerings by discovering MY SPACE!
