Et toujours en entier "Color me blood red". BIO : Dès la formation du groupe en 1995, l'orientation musicale de PSYKUP s'est très vite imposée. N'hésitant pas à affirmer des influences aussi diverses que STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, PRIMUS, et ALICE IN CHAINS, PSYKUP propose une approche originale du métal, sortant des carcans prédéfinis par le style tout en préservant une cohérence électrique. Souvent perçu comme barré et délirant car philosophiquement ouvert au métissage, le métal de PSYKUP est aussi et avant tout une musique sombre, incarnée, et surtout introspective. Aujourd'hui le groupe aborde la musique de façon toujours plus cinématographique, avec des morceaux qui se découpent plus en story-board qu'en couplet-refrain. Autant de courts métrages qui auraient vu se succéder derrière la caméra John Carpenter, Terry Gilliam ou Tex Avery... Leur troisième opus, pour être à la hauteur de la démesure du groupe, ne pouvait être qu'un double album. C'est chose faite avec "We love you all" (Season Of Mist) ! ENGLISH VERSION : After the band formed in 1995, Psykup defined its musical orientation very early. Claiming various influences such as STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, PRIMUS, and ALICE IN CHAINS, Psykup offers an original approach of metal music, overpassing predefined rules imposed by the metal genre while preserving an electric coherence. Often considered excentric and frenzied since they are philosophically open to mixings, Psykup’s metal is first a dark, incarnated and above all introspective music. Today, the band approaches music in a more cinematographic way, with songs that dissect more in storyboards than in a chorus/ verse pattern. So many short films that John Carpenter, Terry Gilliam or Tex Avery could have directed…To be up to the band’s excessiveness, their new cd could only be a double album.
