| A native of the island of Jamaica, Danelle was raised in Kingston until the age of nine when her family migrated to the U.S. Her parents wanted to pursue graduate studies in ministry and marriage/family therapy.
The cultural transition was difficult but it was during this time that Danelle's love for music and acting began to blossom."As a child in the islands I watched musicals almost everyday after school. I fell in love with every aspect of them."She sang and played the piano in church alongside her father who pastored. Danelle was first in line whenever there was a play, choir, or talent show. She prides herself, however, in being well rounded in her aspirations."I suppose i was a little strange. I could shoot a basketball better than most boys and I hated dresses, but put me on stage and I was such a little diva!"Danelle advanced at an early age in her music and acting ability, eventually earning a B.A. in Music from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. There she excelled as a performer and went on to be a part of projects featuring such talents as Jonny Lang, Melinda Doolittle, and Shannon Sanders.
While living in "Music City USA" she left her mark on screen as well; featured alongside such artists as Sara Evans, Danielle Peck, Elliott Yamin, and Mat Kearney.
Danelle has gained the respect of directors, fellow musicians, and her colleagues who have described her as "professional, a pleasure to work with, and a natural."
Her diverse talent is matched only by her passion to encourage others. Danelle continually seeks opportunities that challenge her creatively and provide her a greater platform with which to inspire others."I come from a background in which edifying others is a priority. I watched my parents dedicate their lives to it. If I am not using my talents and blessings to build up someone else, then I am not truly succeeding."Danelle is a gracious combination of beauty, talent, and wisdom that far precedes her age. It is undoubtedly just the beginning for this very promising young star.
