| Andre Reed (A.R.) is a true fan of Real Hip Hop Music. Although his music preference goes beyond to other genres of music such as R&B, Jazz, Old School, Orchestra and Rock, Hip Hop had the most influence on him growing up. For the record, A.R. is not from the hood as most rappers are or claim to be. He comes from a good, respectable family (The Reed Family) and was raised in Tulsa, Ok by his father and would visit his mother on occasion in Houston, TX. He became addicted to Hip Hop in 1990 when he was 10 years old. He was intrigued by the skillful use of the words and the way to make them rhyme over an instrumental. He grew deeper into Hip Hop over the years and by 2002 he would occasionally perform with Tulsa’s hottest live band, The Full Flava Kings. He didn’t have many lyrics to use in his performances so he would freestyle with other emcees on stage while the band would play. People would constantly tell him that he had talent with his style of rhyme but he never took it serious to the point where he wanted to attempt to get a record deal. He began recording tracks in 2003, not for selling purposes but for the love of Hip Hop and to hear himself rhyme over instrumentals. With the little experience he had with music, he later moved to Houston, TX in 2005. He would work his 9-6 job during the week and would work as Security at one of Houston’s Top rated clubs, Club Hush at night. He used both of his Jobs to network with people within the industry when he could. By 2007, he began recording music, written and freestyles, and also started promoting Senica AKA Da Misfit to all the hot spots in Houston, including the radio stations. Soon after, he was given the opportunity to join and be Touch 1 Records VP in Sept. 2007 and plans to be a strong asset to the label and do it all from promotions, marketing, creative design, emceeing, engineering, music and video production and anything else to become one of the most popular teams in this New Age of Hip Hop scene.
