Back in 2004, Rodrigo, Rui and Hugo decided to form a band and named it Left Hand, since ironically, all their members were left-handed. Their music is strongly influenced by the sonorities of Punk Rock and bands such as Green Day, Nofx, Blink182, MxPx, Millencolin, Rancid, Bowling for Soup, Ramones, Sum41, Pennywise etc. A few months later, Fred joined the band and João replaced Hugo on the drums. With this group formed, Left Hand entered a music contest that took place in their high school, where they won the first place in the originals category, with their song Everything I Want, and a second place in the covers category with a Ramones medley. As to the prize, they got the chance to record a demo with four songs. On the following months, the band performed in several places and the reaction of the audience was very positive. A short time after, Spear Producers showed some interest for this band and decided to support it. Despite the good reaction showed in the concerts, the band decided not to sell the demo, for the final result wasn't as good as they expected. Nevertheless, the song Girls Suck But They're Hot was chosen to make part of a Portuguese underground compilation, Ataque Frontal, along with bands like Easyway, Tara Perdida, Peste&Sida, Trinta e Um, TwentyInchBurial, among others. Some months later, João and Fred left the band due to professional reasons. João would be replaced by Hugo and the original trio was back. The trio is now working on some material to record their first studio EP. But while that doesn..t happen the guys are still doing it DIY style, recording their songs at home and uploading them here so you can hear them! ..
