Incidentally the name Gwendoline Lamour is a mixture John Willie’s cartoon heroine Gwendoline, Hollywood actress Dorothy Lamour and the happy fact that G. Lamour spells ... glamour! Books:Having a voracius appetite for reading I usually have a least two books on the go at once. I am a great fan of Dickens, I adore Bleak House and Our Mutual Friend especially, also Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood is another recent favourite read. P G Wodehouse is a long standing passion and I invariably have a murder in the offing, Colin Dexter for choice. Two books I always have handy are The Chambers English Dictinary and The Wrong Box. |
