About Me |
|
| Sometime back in the nineties it became popular with solo artists to build themselves a little platform to stand on and put a microphone under, to pick up the tapping of their foot to add that natural rhythm to their sound. It was a good idea but it didn’t work very well. Feedback usually limited the volume that could be attained from this, and so people couldn’t really hear it very well. Fast forward to the year 2000….Peter Woolnough (a musician from Byron Bay in Australia and all round clever bloke) decided he would research and develop the world’s best stompie. After several years and several prototypes Peter is now extremely happy and proud to have achieved his goal. No more feedback = as much volume as you like. For a solo/duo or any group of muso's without a drummer this really adds a whole other dimension to your sound. All stompies are handcrafted by Peter Woolnough using salvaged Australian timbers and are available only directly from him. I was a little apprehensive in paying nearly $400 for your product especially given the line of work I'm in (i.e. access to timber ,cnc routers etc..) but I would now strongly reccommend you to anyone, you have solved all my portability, pa setup problems in one go matecheers!
