Music:Member Since: 4/25/2007Band Website: shiftitbaby.eu Band Members: vocals : Robyn Wyman guitar : Thilo Mündel THE SHIFT is a combination of raw funky blues/rock guitar and dark soulful vocals. THILO plays guitar as if it is a part of his very self. With his own unique percussive style, he holds the rhythm section together like a band. Add The velvet sensual voice of ROBYN and you have an exciting, lively and reflective performance. Bringing together their own individual influences, they create a sound that incorprates acoustic and electric guitars, percussion and vocals with a blend of Blues, Rock, Jazz and R&B, performing original works as well as specially chosen covers which they play their own way. Allow yourself to be suprised... ....every feeling is conveyed through his guitar..... ....with a gifted voice so large that only through her gestures can the experience be extended... ..the audience, spoilt through the excellence of past performers experienced here the great art of a full bodied offering of Jazz, Blues & Rock..... Karl Schmeid, Ostthuringen Zeitung, Germany 2007. .....with full power and a brilliant soulful voice.....THE SHIFT can come back for another Shift! Beate Baum, Dresdner Neuste Nachrichten, Germany 2007 Influences: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Mark Bolan, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Martha Davis, Colin Hay, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Elvis Costello, Kath & Kim, Ricki Lee Jones, Yes, John Butler,Cold Chisel, Anni Lennox, Rene Geyer, Ani Di Franco, Dalai Lama,Jimi Hendrix, Wishbone Ash, King Crimson, Elena Ledda, Frumpy, Joy Fleming, Bon Scott, Australian pub music scene, Jane Siberry, Dame Edna, Vince Jones, Tuck & Patti..and, and, and..... Record Label: unsigned Type of Label: None |
