My name is Armando Aguilar This is my story on how I have been overcoming the Fight with FAT (weight loss). As you may already know, this is NOT an easy fight, but one that with the right motivation, positive set of mind, personal training, and faith, CAN be won! Growing up I faced many family problems, the type of problems that would push one to a dark road. Besides these "issues" I was the FAT kid that most people teased and bullied. Fortunately I had one good thing going for me; the passion for marketing & public relations. This made me standout and shine apart from others in the field. Down the road in my life I found out that I’m bipolar. This condition is a chemical imbalance in the brain that changes a person's mood and state of mind quickly from happy to sad and vice versa. It is not known how or why this happens. It’s been a hard road but with the right counseling and medication I've been able to control my bipolar condition. This "new me" has led me to see life in full color, as oppose to how I used to see everything in black. It has been a huge turning point in my life; one that made me realize that I was over eating to cover up my pain. That was not the life that I wanted for myself. I decided that changes were necessary to regain my confidence, motivation, self-esteem and become who I wanted to be. It was a difficult decision and I did not know where to begin. So, I joined a fitness club and little by little I have been able to change my eating habits to healthier choices. I was already weighing 300 plus pounds. I didn't really know much about nutrition or working out, but I did know that eating pizzas, sodas, cake, fast food and junk food was not good for my body and health. As hard as it was, I finally stopped eating junk food and determined myself, to WIN The Fight With FAT as I mentioned before, not an easy fight, but one that can be accomplished with sacrifice and hard work. We all want to loss the weight over night. But think about the years it took you to get to that weight or how many years you have been overweight. That is one of the main reasons why people give up or loose motivation. I have set a goal of 2 years to loose over 100 pounds. So far I have lost 50 pounds in 7 months and I’m determine to keep on working hard to reach my goal. With that same level of dedication & determination I have become a Motivational Speaker to help others in their Fight with Fat. MFWF will also showcase on main page the story of the month of others who have “Walked in Your Shoes” or are going through similar situations to helping you re-gain the love (Love Yourself), confidence, motivation and self-esteem needed to win the FIGHT WITH FAT. With the help of sponsors MY FIGHT WITH FAT will provide education to others and their families especially our youth about the risks of disease associated with FAT & Obesity and the ways to prevent them. We will also have fitness camps, motivational speakers, cooking classes, personal trainers, bike rides and much more. MFWF plans to visit various locations such as schools and hospitals. Here are some Facts on how Fat & Obesity is KILLING Us and our Youth. 1.1 Million Deaths due to Cardiovascular Disease. 700,000 people had a Stroke last year. 20 Million People have Diabetes. 300,000 plus Deaths a year are linked to Fat & Obesity. 33% of Americans are considered Obese. 66% of Americans are considered Overweight. These facts are very scary and if we as people do not do anything to WIN THE FIGHT WITH FAT & Obesity millions of us and our loved ones will die of health problems associated with Fat & Obesity.
