| Musician for over 40 years. Soul Outisders is my R & B band and I am the guitar player, par excellence. We are a smoking hot seven piece band in Memphis, Tennesee. I also work in the Memphis Trio every week on Monday nights at Silky's on historic Beale Street with Tim Plunk and Lee Smith. This group is even tougher and could be working behind major country and pop acts but just won't travel due to being terribly lazy, lol. Blessed to be talented...blessed to be working in a young man's game at my age, and blessed to have a career that has been fun. I played for years in Jimmy Hart and the Gentrys and that was incredible. Hart is in the wrestling Hall of Fame as a manager with the WWE but had a major hit in KEEP ON DANCING as well as other top hits in the 60's and 70's. We were on inconic labels such as STAX(only all white band on the label ever), Sun, and MGM. Toured with Beach Boys, Chicago, Grass Roots, the Ohio Express, Chuck Berry, Ike Turner, Steppenwolf, Cyndi Lauper, and Rick Derringer, among others. I'd like to meet:I have met my heroes...Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, CHuck Berry, Jeff Beck, Ike Turner, Muddy Waters, Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts, Vince Gill, and Jimmy Rogers(Muddy's guitar player). Met Jimi Hendrix when my band opened for the Mon kees in 1967 and he was also on the bill months before he hit the charts with ARE YOU EXPERIENCED? Not really anyone that I want to meet, especially politicians...they talk a good game but just are really good thieves, lol. I hope to meet some of the people that I have met on-line here and hear their music firsthand. |

Music:Still love the greats...Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. Being in Memphis, the blues is always around and the immortal Robert Johnson is my favorite along with Muddy Waters, who was a kind, generous man that I met several times. Vince Gill, Marty Stuart,and Keith Urban are my country guys. Guitarwise...Django Reindhart was great. |

Movies:Comedy...love to laugh. Wedding Crashers was all too real to me, lol. I still love to see GIMME SHELTER with the Stones from their 69 tour. Anything with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro is worth the watch. Since Steven Seagall has moved here, I have been watching his action flicks...he is a cool guy and fair guitar player. |

Jimmy Hart was a huge influence and mentor for me...we had some great times back in the 70's, lol. My old pal, Jeff Beck, is another who I admire...great player |
