Music:Member Since: 4/29/2007Band Website: http:// www.tonsuhfun.com " http:// www.tonsuhfun.com Band Members: Bob Dalton's original "Dalton Gang" consisted of himself on lead guitar; Gene Behm on the steel guitar; Jack Turner, bassman and manager; Bruce Wilkie, rhythym guitar, and Floyd Gladwell on drums. Each member of the band was a singer and entertainer in his own right. The group broke up in the latter part of 1971. Influences:     By far, the greatest influence upon the music in my life came out of the church.     My dear mother, when I was about 8 years old, had a trio that sang during the meetings. It consisted of herself and two of her friends, and one cheap, f-hole guitar, which she played for accompaniment.     The words in those songs were precious to us, since they concerned the most important figures in our lives--Jesus Christ and Almighty God. This was what taught me that good songs should always have significant meaning in their words.     Watching and listening to those ladies, I realized that their music was freeing up the people for dedicated worship. It was overcoming their worries, easing their minds, and helping them to release their faith and receive from God.     It was during these meetings that I decided that I wanted--no, that I absolutely had to play music. I had a friend who would stay up with me through many long nights, while I practiced the chords and notes my mother showed me. From that time on, the music filled and completed my life, and although my hands won't work like they used to, I still pick and sing...both gospel and good country music, thank God.
