| Steve Alaboh immigrated to Germany from Port-Harcourt Nigeria 1994 and establish himself quickly through sundry Band project in the German Reggae scene. He produced his first Album Tribulation in 1999 with the band called Roots Reggae Exponents. The music and harmony being expressed when Steve Alaboh is playing with his band „The Uprisers" and his almost magical skill of fascinating his audience are the reasons why he remains to be considered and valued as a new hope of Roots Rock Reggae. His songs reflect feelings like joy, happiness, pain and sorrow, but at the same time, they manage to harmonize his strong belief and spirituality with his music. Moreover, his music accentuates and preserves the roots of Reggae. Steve Alaboh flew with the Uprisers in 2001 to Green Island Jamaica to record his second Album "More Ireytion" in Green Island Studios. Featuring Jamaican artists like Stevie Culture and Generous Campbell.The Managing Director of Green-Island-Studio "Trevor Carter" was so impressed with the music that he immediately ordered some of the songs to be mixed and arranged a Radio interview of Steve Alaboh and DJ Ron, Irie FM Ocho Rios, Jamaica that got a very good resonance. Steve Alaboh flew to Jamaica in November 2007 to record his third and new Album..A NEW DAY.. in Jamplified Recording Studios, Rhodes Hall, Orange Bay, Hanover. Produced by Collins Ried.. Jamplified Recording Studios and Steve Alaboh. The Album is expected to be released in May. The tittle track ..A New Day.. and Warning are added to Steve..s MYSPACE site to enable you get a flavour of the Album before it..s released. | |
