A military brat, this 27 year-old vocal recording artist/songwriter/playwright/stage play director’s extraordinary, escalating musical abilities have been giving fans goose bumps and commanding much attention! K.C.’s sincere love of music, her distinctive and recognizable voice and her winning personality permeates and downright saturates the souls of her fans. Her lyrics- at times pensive and heartfelt then at other times fun and energetic are a part of her winning formula.The genres of Soul, Gospel, R&B and Rock are her formal styles of music but this woman could sing the phonebook! She believes the epitome of a great musician is being able to master anything that comes your way. Especially if you do it- "your own" way!Born to a Neo-Soul singing International Recording artist mother and military father, K.C. knew she would be a vocalist at the age of 6 but remembers loving music since she was 4. She gives much of the credit to her mother’s many studio sessions in London, England while pregnant with her.“I remember the first two songs I ever heard that stuck in my head at the age of 4. “ Frankie” by Sister Sledge and “Casonova” by LeVert.” she says.Not only is she a phenomenal vocalist like her mother but it has to be added that she also followed in her father’s footsteps as well and has been in the United States Army for 9 years now.On top of many other honors she was named the 2007 Fort Riley Military Idol.K.C.’s ability to take on the music industry and the whole world (in a time of war) just let’s us know that anyone who encounters her had better watch out and be prepared to be mesmerized by this woman’s “ I don’t think outside of the box- there is no box”- attitude!
