MIAMI mélange is a unique journey through sound that combines organic and electronic elements with soulful vocals. It is a fusion of old school soul with new school heart a combination of yesterday and tomorrow. Every journey starts with a first step. Lorely Garcia was a stranger to Luis Beyra and Randy Suarez (of Playground Superstars, but alas, thats another story for another time) a few years ago, but now has joined their distinctive perspectives to create the sound of mélange. Luis is the architect of sound he brings the beats; Lorely is the voice she brings the light and Randy is the co-pilot brings the bridge. After having met on pure coincidence (some would say, destiny), the trio has brought together three distinct personalities creating a unique sound. A blend of electronica, lounge and pop with elements of jazz and soul (basically everything under the sun), mélange can set a mood ideal for a night out dancing with a martini glass. The songs are more than just pretty melodies and beats; they elevate a state of mind with moody guitars, percolating percussion and those ultra sexy bass lines. The bands debut live performance at Vino in Coconut Grove, FL. drew over 200 people to the tiny locale, who visited the lounge to find out what all the buzz was about. Performing tracks for their upcoming album release and re-inventing influential classics such as Roxanne and Am I the Same Girl, their debut performance was more than most expected. Their larger than life follow-up gig came when they were asked to perform in Alex Rodriguezs party for the likes of Jay-Z, Pharrell and Lenny Kravitz. Since then, they have also performed in front of a huge audience at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival as well as a series of monthly shows at Thursdays LIVE! nights at the Biltmore Hotel Coral Gables. Their debut release, Table for Three, is slated to be complete by end of 2006 and will include standout tracks such as Two Lives, Creepin, Crazed, deepdown, New Funk and many more.
