Comme Errol Flynn, rapière au poing, punissait les méchants, des Parisiens, guitares au vent, brandissent fièrement l’oriflamme du rock, le vrai, n’oubliant pas ses racines rhythm ‘n’ blues, et le charme des mélodies acidulées. Croisière mouvementée assurée avec captain storm!” Thierry Châtain (Rock & Folk) Pourquoi faire de la musique de jeunes puisque ça deviendra de la musique de vieux? Le groupe existe depuis les années 80. Au gré des pauses et des reformations, Captain Storm a acquis une bonne pratique de la scène, enchaînant festivals (dont le Printemps de Bourges), premières parties (Troggs, Pirates, Wilko Johnson, Eddie Floyd…) et de nombreuses prestations dans des clubs et des bars en France et en Belgique… Réunie progressivement depuis deux ans, la nouvelle mouture a ajouté des touches de country à son rhythm ‘n’ blues mâtiné de pop. Résultat, un power pop aux racines variées où les compositions originales côtoient des reprises venues de Nashville, Memphis, Londres, Liverpool… The band started in the mid 80's! Along splits, stops and reformations, Captain Storm acquired a good stage practice on festivals, opening acts (Troggs, Pirates, Wilko Johnson, Eddie Floyd…) and regular gigs in clubs and bars in France and Belgium... Set up little by little during the last two years, the new line-up has added country colours to its blend of rock, pop and rhythm 'n' blues. What comes out of this is a unique power pop full of roots where original songs alternate with covers from Memphis, Nashville, London, Austin and Liverpool... |
