About Me

In 1975 he built his first violin, and in 1978 he began his practice elaborating on personal models inspired by classic Italian luthiery, choosing his wood with great care in their places of origin. A fundamental characteristic given him by his father is his work without the aid of dice or forms, following the most ancient classical traditions. In 1983 the Rotary Club of Padua recognized him for the high quality of his work. From 1983 to 1987 he was the Luthier of the "M° Ralph Lipizer" international violin competition in Gorizia. Since 1987 he has held luthery courses at prestigious musical institutes in northern Italy. To date he has built 56 instruments including violins, violas, and basses; his varnish is a spirit of oil and gilded rose. He was director of the Department of Luthery at the International Accademi of Culture and Art not to mention Director of the International School of Luthery in Padua from its establishment to the end of 1998. He devotes himself, with recognized success, to the repair and restoration of antique instruments including: Amati, Bergonzi, Gobetti, Guarneri, Landolli, Montagnana, Stradivari, Testore, Villaume, etc.
