| The idea behind this whole SiZe thing is so simple it's almost George W Bush!....
People are sick of going round town and hearing the same old thing..they are having house parties and playing good tunes and dancing and singing,surely it's about time someone had a house party big enough for all of us?!? SiZe was born in the spring of 2007..it was basically a reaction to the lousy music played in the area's pubs and clubs week in week out, and the severe lack of good live music in the area..the brainchild of a local music obsessive, it had its first night on Sept 8th in the Rosehill Barn and featured 3 of the most exciting new acts in the UK. The night at the Rosehill was a sell out and gave a good indicator of what was to come. On October 26th SiZe rolled up to the doors of Monroes in Workington armed with 4 hotly tipped acts and a laptop full of amazing tunes..and brought the place to its knees..the 151 people there that night are forever etched in SiZe folklore as being present at the first Monroes show..the first of very many we hope.. in the coming weeks a full list of dates pencilled in for 2008 will be announced and aswell as this we hope to have the full line ups for the first 2 shows. Basically if you're with us and sick of the lack of a scene round here then there's no reason we cant build a scene of our own!..tell your friends about us/add our banners/top friend us/come to our nights.. Kevin Costner said: 'if you build it they will come' and he was right..which is a bit of a turn up..I always thought he was a twat.. SiZe Records UK are proud to announce the impending release of the 2nd single from the UKs hottest new band. The Shallow Call hail from Northwich and the single 'Where We All Hang Around' looks set to rustle feathers from John O Groats to Lands End. It's released on June 2nd but you can pre-order the single by clicking the flyer below. All pre-orders will receive extra Shallow Call goodies. .. |
