Trio Radio Marelli è un progetto con cui ci stiamo misurando al fine di ritrovare quella particolare aura che lo spettacolo d'intrattenimento aveva fino agli anni 50 del novecento ed adesso, divorato dall'urgenza di fare,non ha più. Il lavoro del trio non è solo musicale quindi, ma anche teatrale, cercando nel cabaret il suo naturale sfogo. Tutto il lavoro svolto in questi anni si basa su precise intenzioni: restituire al pubblico il piacere di assistere ad uno spettacolo. Niente forzature, niente strazi, niente complicazioni...tutto arriva con semplicità. Le musiche sono elaborate e arrangiate in maniera particolarmente invitante e gli assoli più che a sbalordire tendono piuttosto a carezzare piacevolmete chi ascolta. Quindi da qua la necessità di costruire frasi semplici ed efficaci rifiutando completamente i barocchismi introdotti dal jazz moderno. Lo studio di musicisti del jazz originario ci aiutato in questa difficile conquista arrivare a far capire forme complesse attraverso la semplicità dell'idea. Questo penso possa descrivere al meglio il lavoro del Trio nato per far divertire.

In the far 1930 the mythical jazz orchestra Tombuctu
runs riot trough Italy and Europe. The beating heart
of the orchestra is the friendship that binds Chico
Judkowski, stage name Chico Rossi (singer, guitar
and double bass player), Mario Giorgi (violin and
piano player) and Filippo Zamboni ( accordion and
drum player). After the tragic lost of Filippo during
the catastrophical Italian military campaign in
Greece, the orchestra breaks up and Chico emigrates
in Argentina looking for fortune while Mario
comes back to his mother land, the Tuscany, beginning
a new life.
The brother of Filippo, Giuseppe Zamboni, keeps
jealously the memory of his brother and hands it
down to his young grandchild Daniele which decides,
growing up, to study music. The destiny wants
that the grandchilds of Chico and Mario, Pedro and
Francesco respectively, are studying music too and
grown up decide both to get in Bologna where
Daniele lives. The three guys, after having met and
well aware of their past, understand to have only
one future: to make the music of the mythical jazz
orchestra Tombuctu live again. That is how the
Trio RadioMarelli is born.
