| P.G. & The Hooligans is a very entertaining and rocking band from Karlskoga, Sweden. The band really want to give their audience opportunity to share their joy and genuine feeling for the boogie and the blues. The band plays a mixture of originals and carefully selected bluescovers. They pick some of their material from bluesheroes like Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, Lazy Lester, Hounddog Taylor and Elmore James – and the ones in the audience who expect to hear a few “Blueass-hits” won’t be dissapointed.
Peter “PG” Gustavsson (voc/git/harp) was the ”frontman” in Blueass Blues Band from 1981 to 2005 and is considered to be one of the best showmen in the business. He’s been touring all over Scandinavia, Holland and Belgium several times and he’s also played at many of the biggest or most important bluesfestivals in Scandinavia, for example Åmåls bluesfest (S), Bluesfestivalen Mönsterås (S), Scandinavian Blues party (SF) and Lillehammer bluesfestival (N).
In the summer of 2003 PG was touring the USA (with Blueass) and played at The Safeway Waterfront Blues festival in Portland OR.
PG is also a songwriter and his songs have been played over the radio in entire Scandinavia, big parts of Europe, Australia and USA.
Beside Blueass PG also been playing with Michael K, Sven Zetterberg (as guest), Stoffe Sundlöf, and legends like Arthur Conley and Lazy Lester.
The Hooligans was formed in the end of 2005. For the record: PG and Robert are also members in the "new" jukejoint band, Hot Dog Taylor.Find us at www.bluesville.se.
