| Desde 2001, as influências do rock do Black Sabbath, do grunge de Soundgarden e Mudhoney e do stoner rock de Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Nebula, Queens of the Stone Age detonam os riffs de guitarra poderosos e as “levadas” arrastadas da banda Água Pesada.Mas tudo isso também se mistura a outras influências, que passam pelo proto-punk do MC5 e as experimentações do Sonic Youth. As letras em português, com seus temas urbanos e toques de humor negro, tornam o som ainda mais interessante. Rótulos à parte, o que importa é que a banda Água Pesada faz uma música verdadeira e consistente, sem pretensões megalomaníacas.O lançamento de seu primeiro trabalho, o “Morfosônicometaneural-3”, um EP com seis músicas, passou pelo dedicado trabalho do produtor Gustavo Simão e ainda ganhou ilustrações de Lourenço Mutarelli, um dos mais cultuados autores de HQ do Brasil, que acabou por caracterizar ainda mais a estética underground da banda.Agora em 2007 a banda se prepara para entra em estúdio e iniciar as gravações do seu segundo trabalho.
