The young and hungry trio consists of Kendrick “Optimo” Green 22, Parish ”P-Mo” Carter 21, and Courtney ”Lil Dip” Frazier 24.It was natural for the name 55-SOUF with Carter’s Windy City style of flow combined with Green and Frazier’s southern mix. “We wanted to form a connection between Chi-town and Mississippi since Interstate 55 runs from Chicago down through Mississippi” explains Green. Now poised as the new Mid-South crew the group made there first debut in the suburb of Aurora at their annual Spring Bash 06' and rocked the show. From that point they took the act to the Ebony Magazine Black Family Reunion Tour and rang the streets of Chicago’s downtown. They shared the stage with the likes of MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh and Steve Harvey. They’ve made an impact in the Mid-West and Southern regions of the US. Making a hit song and radio quality is their style. Everything from songwriting down to the production is all original which separates them from the rest.
