Music:Member Since: 5/13/2007Band Members:Absolutely spectacular. Maybe it's time for a new kind of patriotism. Actually it's not new at all. It's the America that the constitution and our forefathers envisioned. It is the America that Madison and Monroe envisioned even before the Constitution in their famous Federalist Papers, it is the America, of Jefferson, who though a slave owner still took the principles of John Locke and other Europeans and said "ALL Men Are Created Equal". It is the America, that says there should be freedom of religion and expression. Their should be freedom of speech. There should be justice for all, but let God Himself be the greater judge not men. It is the America of Abraham Lincoln, who though force to do what's right did so with clarity and ferver. It is the America of President Roosevelt, who said, "WE have nothing to fear but fear itself". It is the America of President Kennedy, who took the servant role, not the dictator role as President. It is the America of President Johnson, who without fanfare or respect did more for civil rights of not only African Americans, but other races, women and the disabled than any President before him. It is the America of both Malcome X and George Wallace, two men who saw a better way later and proved we can change, no matter what how far one way or the other we are. And of course it is the America of Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.. It is the America that still has a dream and it is the America that Bobby said, " some see things and say why, I see things and say why not." If indeed we lose this election, we may be lost forever as a nation. We need to reclaim America's heart and we need to do it NOW!!!Want Barack Obama Influences: Tell them my friend. Dang!!!!Jack Gilfoy solo1 I can not even recall how Gloria came into my life/ right now I don't even remember who requested who, I'm fifty give me a break lol. But I do recall that it didn't take long for me to find out she was a very loving and compassionate person. It also didn't take long for me to find out that she had a divine and unique wisdom, that had to be God sent and inspired. For some reason every time drama came in my life, there she was with answer or an encouraging thought provoking word. She told me to read her new book "Journey to Love". To tell you the truth I only bought it so I could become a better friend, because she would not allow me to send her comments till I read the book and discovered the essence of who she was. Another wise thing, for sometimes we rush into "myspace friendships and relationships" not knowing we're only adding more drama and pain in our lives because not all people jell together easily. Yet many like me hate to turn down a request and thus set our selves up and maybe the other person up to for un-necessary heart ache and pain. But in her book, Gloria teaches, these too as painful as they are, are valuable life lessons, ie "all things work together for those who love the Lord and are called to His purpose". Upon reading Gloria's amazing book I found the core of how she became the person that she is,. Her journey to love, took her far beyond religion and tradition, it took her into a personal relationship with yes an almighty, but even more all LOVING GOD. Any one who knows that God is Love, will not be surprised that the journey to love, ended in a discovery and destination of God and yes self, for the true Kingdom, lies within. Within every heart, God wishes to dwell. "Journey To Love", will help you no matter where you are in life. At the bottom, she's been there and she sacrificially bares her soul to show you there's hope in hopeless situations,. At the top and still not content, she show's life wisdoms and lessons to help you smell the roses and see a life beyond your natural treasures. Caught up in trials and temptations, she gives Godly advise, that the grass may not be as green on the other side, but she also gives strength and encouragement for the brave soul who is like Peter, determined to step out of the boat of normalcy and claim the abundant life other's only set at the fence and dream about. It is a must read friends. Most of us come on myspace for one thing and find ourselves enticed into something different, Gloria's book will show you both the way back home and the way to a glorious (sorry about the play on words Gloria) new you. But more than anything it will teach you to learn how to walk in your own secret Garden or Eden and talk uniquely with a Abba Daddy God, who is always there waiting to not just listen but speak uniquely into your life/ in a way only He can. As a man, I leaned that sensitivety is about more than words alone, as a BLACK MAN, I learned that our race has to move beyond the definitions and falsehoods of sexual identities society is trying to place upon us, as a minister and counselor, I learned that truth and balance is the key to helping others struggling through these complexed relationship situations that traditionally the church has just sweap under the rug and categorized as just plain ole sin. Maybe when half of our church congregations are infected with HIV, we will seek real world solutions for real world problems.
