Insanus has been formed in April 2007 by Snake after some time working with Hugo (Drums) and Joao (Guitar). Then, Zé Ricardo (Guitar) was called to join the group too. The band needed a bass player and it was difficult to find him but Barros (Bass) helped us until we get one. After a few time with us, Barros (Bass) wanted to stay for fulltime and then the line up was completed. Due to some problems, Child (Zé Ricardo - Guitar) has left the band, opening a place to Luís Pedro (Guitar) ! "The name came from Latim and means "possessed" - I think that, in the stage, we are a different person and that is the purpose of the name. We feel like we are possessed by metal music, by the crowd and those who feel the same !" - Snake.
