BiographieCombinant agressivité, puissance, mélodie et violence, plongeant avec un son lourd dans les styles divers du métal, la musique de MAGOA se veut simple, forte et efficace. L’origine du groupe remonte…dans la cour de récré, au CM1. Matthieu, petit blond aux yeux bleus, et Martin (alias Flaman) coupe au bol, T-shirt orange, se promettent qu’un jour, ils formeront tous les deux un groupe (qui s’appellerait X 225, allez comprendre…). Puis, s’essayant tout deux dans divers projets musicaux qui n’aboutiront jamais, aux noms aussi nuls que farfelus (Nightmare, Bone’s Breaker, Dusk of Shadows, j’en passe et des meilleurs…), les deux comparses se retrouvent finalement dans la MJC de leur petite ville natale, Ermont. Reprenant tout d’abord des chansons jamais reprises (sweet dreams, smell like teen spirit, wonderwall…), les deux jeunes alors agés de 15 ans veulent voler de leurs propres ailes. Ils recrutent donc au sein de leur groupe un certain Vincent, alors guitariste dans Ears killers (ce fait est totalement vrai), et un certain Teddy, meilleur ami d’enfance de Matthieu, bassiste. D’abord sans nom, la formation va continuer les reprises (I love to say Fuck, Master Of Puppets, Born of A broken man, comme quoi ils progressent les ptits gars) au sein de la MJC, devenue SMJ, détail sans importance mais bon…Au mois de septembre 2006, David, guitariste des Pochtronx (ce fait est classé dans les archives du FBI) rejoint la formation qui a quitté la MJC/SMJ. Dès les premières notes de la première répète, le groupe sait qu’il va continuer, et veut aller loin. Malheureusement, fin 2007, Teddy quitte le groupe car il préfère jouer aux billes avec son nounours. Après quelques recherches infructueuses, c’est Jérémy, fier Viking chevelu et tatoué, qui prend la relève au poste de bassiste. Début 2008, le groupe enregistre 4 titres au Kallaghan Studio, dans le but de faire un maxi pour démarcher auprès des maisons de disques et des salles de concerts. L’aventure Emergenza s’achève à l’Elysée Montmartre le 14 juin 2008, ce concert restera à tout jamais gravé dans la mémoire des membres du groupe. Le groupe poursuit son chemin avec des rêves plein la tête et beaucoup de projets pour l’avenir tel que l’enregistrement d’un album studio.

BiographyAggressive, powerful violent and melodic riffs, a heavy sound which dives into all metal’s genres…This is the music of MAGOA. The roots (bloodyyyyyyy roooots) are set in the period of…the primary school. Matthieu, blond-haired and blue-eyed and Martin (aka Flaman) orange T shirt, awful hairstyle, make the wish that one day they will set up a fuckin’ metal band (which would be called: X 225…why not?). Then, some years later, after playing separately in bands with stupid names (Nightmare, Bone’s Breaker, Dusk of Shadows…Be cool, they were kids!), the two partners gather in an association of their native town: Ermont. Covering at first songs that have never been covered before (sweet dreams, smell like teen spirit, wonderwall…), the 15 years old teenagers want to go further (deeper and better as they say in SKINthetic Sin). They hire Vincent, guitar hero in Ears Killers (yes…this band really existed…) and Teddy, bass hero, best friend of Matthieu. The new line up will keep on covering songs (I love to say Fuck, Master Of Puppets, Born of A broken men, it’s getting better as you can see) with the association. In September, 2006, they leave the association, and hire another guitar hero, David, who was playing with the Pochtronx (none of them had a good name before…). After the first time they played together, the band without name knows that he wants to continue. Unfortunately, at the end of 2007, Teddy leaves the band because he prefers to play with his fluffy toy. After some researches, Jeremy, a proud Viking with long hair and a tattoo join the formation, which decided to be known as MAGOA. In Portuguese, this word means “to hurt”. This is the goal of their music: destroy every stage they play on. And destroy every fuckin ear that listen to the band. Be careful, they are completely mad… Generate your own contact table!
