" I was on vacation in Maui where I spotted a classified add for a Singing Conductor on the Lahaina Sugar Cane Train. I borrowed an acoustic guitar & ukulele from some friends on Maui, auditioned 3 songs, they hired me on the spot, so I moved to a full time gig on Maui." Tony's been conducting, composing, arranging, and performing all over the State ever since, singing for corporate shows, special events, American/Hawaiian Cruise Ships, special weddings, Private events & his ongoing performing bands, T. Ray Band (Classic Rock),and the Tony Ray Band (Swing/Sinatra style)
Tony also starred as 'Teen Angel' in the Baldwin Players performance of 'Grease' singing "Beauty School Dropout" to sold out shows at the MACC (Maui Arts & Cultural Center) in which The Maui News dubbed his performance "The most spectacular moment in the play".
