About Me |

| I started out in a musical family. My Mom is a classical cellist , taught at home, went to alot of her concerts , symphonic, solo and chamber . I started with classical piano lessons at 8 for several years off and on , then flute and finally my true love guitar as a teenager . Studied a bit here and there, some college, private studies ,my favorite teacher being Horace Hatchett, a likable warm fellow with massive knowledge,still have his studies ( some in three clefs which I really did not like, I'm such an intuitive player ), and John Bent , for a short time for my obligatory classical studies . I played around abit in the early 80's, coffee houses, a few bars ,The Troubador, tried to get a band going, was told I could make a living in the music "business" which was not the kind i cared for , nor the people/scene/L.A. etc...and it was extremely sexist at that point in time . And then I tried going the publishing route and was told i was too "Artistic", and i was the easily discouraged type then , and certainly not the type to run thru hoops for anyone . Not too good at performing either, see "GAD "....I just always wanted to and did/do create my own music /songs for spiritual and emotional edification , never could stop that from being. And I really like the challenge of writing/exspresing thoughts in a verbal realm .They can be illuminating, they give me great joy .AS of late i am flooded withoriginal tunes . Sometimes they come thru me from "others ", or the super conscious .They are usually automatic ,. I like to write, need to write, and I love songs .It is a way for my higher self ( i.e. the god within )to exspress and teach , at least to myself ,and share with whomever , i'm thankful for this forum here , and I will continue on as I am...
