We announce a special EP release for year 2008: "The Mystery of Elle" (6 new tracks) to celebrate our first decade from the foundation of MIRIAM. Featuring the original band line-up Keep your eyes on the stars! "the currents whisper softly..... as light slowly emerges..... the candle flickers.... and the smoke arises.... a new song in my heart....." MIRIAM. has been founded in year 1998 (under the name “Windigo”, renamed in 1999 as MIRIAM) by Daniela Bruno (vocals, bass), Carlo Bucciarelli (synthesizers, guitar) and Francesco Sordini (piano, keyboards). It is known that our name MIRIAM has been chosen as a tribute to one of our favorite cult movies, “The Hunger” (Tony Scott, 1983), featuring David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve in the role of two metropolitan vampires. On the other hand, later we discovered that under the Roman Empire, this name used to mean something like “sea waterdrop”, which fits perfectly our tastes, for water themes in our music and for water colors in our style. After 9 years and 4 MIRIAM releases: 1. Arabesque (1999, promo CD, 9 tracks) 2. Im Nebel (2000, promo CD, 10 tracks) 3. Scents (2002, official release, 10 tracks) 4. When Beauty Is Invisible (2007, 11 tracks) We are leaning towards new experimentation. |
