| King is the product of 4 sons of bitches who crawled down in a basement with a bunch of beer and emerged the drunken shred groove bastards that they've become. Formed in summer of '04, the line up of 3 dudes consisting of Mike Salsbury, Mike Daley and Remy Degardyn was joined by Marco Quiroz later in that summer to become the 4th member and making it the line up you've come to know. The group had many diverse influences from Classic Rock, Punk, Stoner Rock and even Death Metal and Black Metal. After rehearsing for months and throwing it all that together, they went on to Play and win in a Battle of the Bands at Peabody's Downunder in '05 and Release a full length demo called "Broken Mirrors" in '06.
King is a band of the people. Making music that appeals to them and their diverse influences, as well as a wide range of fans. There is no style they are afraid to attempt and explore. They make music with the sheer purpose of making you feel it an believe it, forming the tunes into a tasty concoction that will make you groove, bang your head, and fuck you up. Bottoms up. |
