| Skalibans are a band from Almada with a punk-ska-reggae sonority. Since their beginning in 2004, the band suffered
several changes. Now Skalibans are: Gonçalo Jorge (Drums); Sérgio Gaspar (Vocals); Luis Pereira (Bass); Pedro Matos
(Guitar); Clara Pereira (Trumpet); Paulo Fragoso (Trombone) e Luis Santos (Sax). Playing live it's their primary
motivation due to the strength that comes from the energy they take from the contact with the audience, so we can
assure you that you'll find good mood and lots of positive energy in a Skalibans's concert. The band recorded an E.P. in 2007
with five tracks, two of them, "Sunshine" and "Late night phonecall" already on the radios across Europe and portuguese
tv shows. Skalibans's first album "Is It Voodoo?!" will be out on the stores in September 2008, recorded by Miguel
Marques in Generator studio (www.myspace.com/generatormusicstudios)and mastered by Alan Douches on West West Side Music
Studio. "Is it Voodoo?!" will present you with 13 tracks, all originals from Skalibans, four of them already available on
our myspace. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------Os Skalibans são uma banda de Almada que se identifica de um modo geral com a sonoridade Punk-Ska-Reggae. A banda teve início no ano de 2004. Desde então sofreram várias alterações sendo que só recentemente ficou definida a actual formação: Gonçalo Jorge (Bateria); Sérgio Gaspar (Voz); Luis Pereira (Baixo); Pedro Matos (Guitarra); Clara Pereira (Trompete); Paulo Fragoso (Trombone de Varas) e Luis Santos (Saxofone). A motivação principal da banda é tocar ao vivo, pois é da experiência e do contacto com o público que esta assenta a sua essência. Quem for a um concerto de Skalibans pode esperar muita energia e boa disposição! A banda conta ja com uma maquete gravada em 2007 com cinco temas, e dois singles "Sunshine" e "Late Night Phonecall" que podem ouvir em várias rádios (Antena3, Radar, RNA, ECOfm, Ultra Fm entre outras). Brevemente irá estar disponível o primeiro álbum de Skalibans "Is it Voodoo?", com 13 temas originais gravados no Generator Studios pelo produtor Miguel Marques (www.myspace.com/generatormusicstudios) e masterizado nos West West Side Music Studios em Nova Iorque, pelo produtor Alan Douches (Aerosmith,The Chemical Brothers, Misfits, Sepultura, Hatebreed, More than a thousand, entre outros.)
