Mi chiamo mariopaduano e sono nato il 17 giugno del 1983 (di venerdì), per gli scaramantici meglio non continuare con la lettura!!!! Spesso chiedono a mia madre quando ho iniziato a cantare, ma lei non sa dare una risposta ben precisa, perché a 6 mesi parlavo già e dopo poco iniziai anche a canticchiare, quindi diciamo che è cosa non ben definita! Una cosa certa è che dopo anni di prove col pomello della tenda del mio salotto (che utilizzavo come un microfono e con cui perforavo i timpani a tutti quelli che passavano per strada… e in casa non vi dico!?!?!?!), la mia prima esibizione davanti ad un pubblico vero e proprio è avvenuta nel giugno del ’92, avevo 9 anni, partecipai ad un concorso parrocchiale intitolato "Baby Festival", con la canzone "Caruso" di Lucio Dalla e mi classificai primo (la coppa la conservo ancora anche se è piccola e di materiale che nei laboratori scientifici non hanno ancora identificato!!!). Dopo l’esperienza parrocchiale? Il silenzio... perché dopo qualche annetto iniziò a cambiarmi la voce e convinto di non saper più cantare, me ne stavo zitto (anche se di nascosto cantavo lo stesso), da allora in poi le esperienze avute sono state varie: nel 1997 ho fatto le selezioni per San Remo fino ad arrivare allo stage di una settimana al casinò, ho recitato in svariati musical e commedie con compagnie amatoriali e non, ricoprendo per la maggior parte delle volte ruoli da protagonista. Ho cantato con diversi gruppi, dal 2005 coi “nonsologospel” gruppo di cui sono fondatore, solista e arrangiatore vocale, e nel 2006 sono stato il solista della ‘900 Big Band di Caserta, con cui mi sono esibito in varie piazze e teatri del sud e centro Italia e grazie al quale ho lavorato come corista per Jenny B. ad una serata di beneficenza “Notte Matta” tenutasi a Rovereto e presentata da Aida Yespica. Ho lavorato come corista per Tullio De Piscopo, Toni Esposito, Brunella Selo e Francesca Zurzolo x la serata in onore di Gianluigi Di Franco tenutasi al TAM di Piazza Amedeo a Napoli. Grazie ai “nonsologospel” ho lavorato nel 2005 come arrangiatore vocale nel disco di “Aniello Misto” bassista partenopeo, intitolato “Cotta & Cruda”, e nel 2006 nel disco di Nevada, countyman partenopeo, intitolato “’Na Bella Canzone”. Nel giungo 2007 il coro “nonsologospel” è stato eletto vincitore del ”Venezia Gospel Festival”. ENGLISH: I’m Mario Paduano and I was born on June 17, 1983 (Friday! In Italy being born on Friday 17 is the worst thing that can happen to a human being – It’s like Fiday 13! - So don’t keep on reading if you don’t feel particulary lucky!). My mother is often asked when I started singing, but she hasn’t a really precise answer, because right after six months I was talking and after short I started singing, so it’s not a well defined thing! One thing’s sure: after years of rehersal with the handle of the curtains of my living room (which I used as a microphone, bursting everybody’s earmdrums down the street, and up in my house…You don’t wanna know!), my first performance in front of a real crowd was on June 1992, I was nine. I joined a competition called “Baby Festival”, with the song “Caruso” by Lucio Dalla and, of course, I won! (Still I got the cup, even if it’s small and made of a material not well recognised by the scientific laboratories too!). After this first experience? The silence… Because after a couple of years my voice started changing and I was convinced that I wasn’t able to sing anymore… (But secretly, I kept on singing!). But eventually, I came out of this silence and from that moment on, I got a lot of experiences. In 1997, I did the pre-competition for Sanremo, I acted in several musicals and comedies with a theatrical company, often being the protagonist. I sang with a lot of bands, from 2005 with “Nonsologospel”, whose I’m the founder, soulist and vocal arranger and, in 2006 I was the soloist of the ‘900 Big Band of Caserta; we did a lot of shows all around Middle and South Italy and I had the opportunity of singing as a chorist for Jenny B in Rovereto for an evening called “Notte Matta”, presented by Aida Yespica. Besides, I worked as a chorist for Tullio De Piscopo, Tony Esposito, Brunella Selo and Francesca Zurzolo for the evening in honour of Gianluigi Di Franco, at the TAM in Naples. In 2005, with “Nonsologospel”, I was the vocal arranger in “Aniello Misto”’s cd, called “Cotta & Cruda” and, in 2006, in Nevada’s album called “Na Bella Canzone”. In June 2007, “Nonsologospel” was the winning choir at the Venice Gospel Festival! |
