| Russian Synth Community is a concert promotion agency specializing in different kinds of the alternative electronic music. Our activity is arranging concerts and club parties with participation of popular foreign and Russian artists, which are aimed to popularize and develop the electronic music in Russia. We started our activity in 2002 and now we arrange 6-8 shows of foreign artist in Moscow per year. We have good experience of making concerts in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Kaliningrad and we are constantly working on the geographical expansion of our activities. We’ve already done 2 Russian tours of foreign bands, one of 5 cities and one of 10 cities. We take serious and conceptual approach to our work and try to avoid the triviality presenting each concert as an exceptional and particular event. We plan our concert season beforehand taking into consideration various tastes of our audience and trying to cover all actual and relevant music styles and directions. All our events are preceded by a serious promotion. We usually arrange press conferences, interviews and autograph sessions of the invited bands (especially if it is a first visit of the band to Russia) doing this, we give a chance for artists to get a better approach with the specificity of Russian audience and for the fans to take a closer look at their idols. Media campaigns of each Russian Synth Community event spreads over all means of mass media: numerous announcements in the press and e-zines, radio and television. The leading Russian news and music magazines are our information partners: Poster (Afisha), PLAY, Your leisure (Vash dosug), Leisure and entertainment (Dosug I razvlechenia), Alive, Classic Rock, Rockcor, Gothland, Rock Oracle, radio station ‘Megapolis’, TV channels MTV, A1, MusicInfection, MusicBox and many others. In December 2003 Russian Synth Community established the first large goth-synth festival named the Moscow Synthetic Snow Festival which has been a great success. Then Russian Synth Community decided to make it annual, and now this festival becomes every year the main event of the dark scene in Russia. | |
