| NEWS FLASH KIDDIES!! ******************************************************* "Cheers, to Doomsday Gloom" IS NOW AVAILABLE!!!!! If anyone has any questions, booking info, comments, etc... please send them to this account. Some scientifically proven facts about Mabus... ****************************************** Mabus have worked tirelessly over the past seven years to achieve a style that will endure the many fleeting trends in today’s music. After numerous tours that led them across most of North America and back to their small Hudson Valley New York towns they began to build a reputation as a must-see band live. Their powerful songs coupled with there bottomless on stage dynamism helped Mabus maintain and attract a dedicated audience. With the release of Mabus’ 2005 release on Glacial Records, “Cheers, to Doomsday Gloom,” they received enthusiastic reviews from many magazines, web-zines, and fans. In the November 2006 issue of “Metal Maniacs,” “Cheers, to Doomsday Gloom” was reviewed as being a strong first effort from an up and coming band. By the time Mabus were ready to play and support “Cheers…” they had been given many opportunities to play with some of today’s most influential metal acts such as The Acacia Strain, A Life Once Lost, August Burns Red, Behold, The Arctopus, Between The Buried And Me, Boy Sets Fire, Caliban, Converge, Darkest Hour, Dead To Fall, Daughters, The End, From A Second Story Window, Genghis Tron, Misery Signals, Modern Life Is War, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Premonitions Of War, Psyopus, The Red Chord, Walls Of Jericho, and The Warriors. When it comes to writing there is no holds barred for Mabus. Their uninhibited approach to metal with jazz insinuations creates a lucid musical landscape of fluctuating time signatures and rhythms. Mabus never try to fit into one specific genre, instead they allow all of their musical influences to congregate into one fluid sonic sound. Such diversity can be heard on “Cheers…” where songs range from the technically demanding “Retire Happy” with its swift time changes; to the down tempo mood of “Swingin’ In Satter Lee,” an all out jazz melody, brass section in tow. Mabus spent two years after their Glacial Record’s release playing scores of shows in the North East and touring as much of North America as possible. In the summer of 2007 they spent months on the road playing new material and building an even larger following. Upon their return home they wrote for weeks then booked time at Nada Studios (My Chemical Romance, Shai Hulud, Brand New). By the start of 2008 Mabus released two new songs on their “Casual Casualties Sampler;” “Fat With Life” and “Cemetery Man.” The new material displays the progress of Mabus’ tremendously heavy sound, technically demanding still, yet interlaced with intricate grooves and alert song structures. Armed with absolute fervor for the stage and new songs Mabus are determined to share them with as many people as possible. Count on seeing Mabus in a venue near you before long.
